Sub Franchise BLIMPIE ranks #221 in Entrepreneur magazine’s 2011

Blimpie #221 among its Franchise 500 in the January 2011 issue, up from #438 in 2010.

The first
Blimpie restaurant opened in 1964 in Hoboken, NJ., with a simple idea: stack freshly sliced meats and cheeses custom prepared on fresh-baked breads right in from of the customer. Today there are nearly 900 non-cooking restaurants nationwide.
“Our Blimpie franchisees receive brand-building marketing and traffic-generating promotion including television, radio, print, freestanding inserts and online marketing partnerships,” added Henry, “and we are growing our brand both from existing
multi-unit franchise owners and new franchisees.”

Blimpie area developer, announced that
multi-unit franchise owner Naseem Cheema has opened his third Blimpie franchise restaurant on Long Island, in Deer Park, in Suffolk County, NY. The high-traffic location is in a major industrial park shopping center near a booming outlet mall.
“Our
Blimpie franchise restaurants are popular on Long island, and that’s why we are getting a lot of inquiries about our
franchise opportunity,” said Conlin. “We have plans to keep expanding and now is a great time to open a Blimpie restaurant. There are deals to be made on real estate, experienced food service people are looking for work, and consumers want great value—a quality that we are known for.”
“In addition to the new Deer Park location, we just signed a new
Blimpie franchisee in West Babylon in Suffolk County, NY, whose restaurant is under construction and scheduled to open in February 2011. And, now that we are a member of the Kahala family of franchise brands, entrepreneurs have co-branding opportunities. We recently opened a Blimpie and Great Steak & Potato Co. location in the Smith Haven Mall—the main mall for the ‘Mid Island’ area in Lake Grove, NY.”
