Sports Franchise Scores A Home Run With Jon Cahill. Massachusetts Native Joins the Roster as Director of Baseball Operations for the
Sports Franchise.
(Middleton, Mass.) --- Extra Innings, the nation’s premier
sports franchise featuring an indoor baseball and softball training facility, is proud to announce Jon Cahill as Director of Baseball Operations for their Middleton, Mass. facility.
Hailing from nearby Peabody, Mass., Cahill brings significant experience from college and minor league baseball to Extra Innings. Cahill played four years of college ball at the University of Massachusetts – Lowell, and was later signed by the Anaheim Angels in 2001. After three seasons with the Angels, Cahill moved on to play and coach in the Frontier League, including two seasons as the Traverse City Beach Bums Manager.
Rob Nash, president and co-founder of Extra Innings, is excited to be brining Cahill on board. “Jon brings several years’ experience and expertise to Extra Innings and we’re thrilled to have him as part of our team. His dedication and passion for baseball will make him a great director and instructor,” said Nash.
After enjoying success in different areas of the country, Cahill returned to his roots in the Northeast to further his career. Currently, Cahill is an associate coach for the New Jersey Jackals in the Can-Am League. He is available for private hitting, pitching and fielding lessons at Extra Innings Middleton.
