BROOKLYN, NY – While many businesses are slowing down due to the rocky economic climate, Smart Tax franchise, a newly launched 10-unit tax preparation franchise concept, is just starting to speed up.  Smart Tax franchise is a step above the competition by offering quicker returns, better services and is expanding rapidly, now opening its newest location in Asbury Park at 100 Memorial Drive.

“I have always been extremely involved in my local community and bringing Smart Tax to my home in Asbury Park is a great way to provide a service in high-demand and one that can benefit everyone,” said Randy Ashenfarb, franchisee of the Asbury Park location.

Ashenfarb has been a teacher and a mentor to children for the past 7-years prior to his recent entrepreneur endeavor. He started his own mentoring program for kids, called Mentor Me. Mentor Me connects kids in the community to a mentor and allows the kids to see first-hand an adult in a job that they are interested in, as well as give them some guidance and inspiration. When Ashenfarb learned about the opportunity to own his own franchise business with Smart Tax, he immediately knew it was something that he had to be a part of for himself and that could work in conjunction with his Mentor Me program.

“I wanted to find a business venture where I could pursue my overall passion for helping people and opening a Smart Tax franchise allows me to also be involved in my Mentor Me program to support the kids in my community,” said Ashenfarb.  Ashenfarb plans to open three Smart Tax tax preparation franchise locations in the New Jersey region by tax season 2011.

CEO and Founder Nick Rizzi grew Smart Tax into four small successful locations, after launching his first location as a 29-year old entrepreneur using his life savings and a credit card.  Rizzi created his concept a step above the competition by offering quicker returns and better services.
