OKLAHOMA CITY, March 24, 2015 - During their recent International Leadership Conference (ILC) in Nashville, Tennessee, Express Employment Professionals continued to show their commitment to giving back through donations to national and local nonprofit organizations.
From March 4 to 7, franchisees and their staff members from the international staffing company took part in raffle and live auction fundraisers to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). Their donations resulted in more than $75,000 raised for the organization that includes a network of more than 170 hospitals in the U.S. and Canada.
Express has been a partner with CMNH for more than 20 years and has donated more than $4 million during that time.
Express also made a food and monetary donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee that provided more than 4,600 meals to people in need. Each year, Express offices partner with their local food banks and pantries to provide meals and hours of service as part of their annual day of service, Brand It Blue Day. To date, Express offices have provided more than 95,000 meals to those in need through their efforts on Brand It Blue Day.
"Our annual conference not only allows us an opportunity to bring some of the sharpest minds in the country together under one roof to share their business and leadership knowledge, but to give back as well," said Robert A. Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express. "The culture of our company is one of service and our franchisees and their staff once again showed the heart they have for those in need at ILC this year."
