Preschool Franchise Company Continues Five-Year Steady Growth Pattern
Primrose Schools® opened 19 new schools and awarded 44 new franchise agreements in 2015

ATLANTA (Jan. 28, 2016) – Primrose Schools, the premier preschool franchise company, continued a five-year pattern of growth by opening 19 new schools in 2015, including four schools opened by existing Franchise Owners who are capitalizing on the company’s successful business model and rewarding impact. The company’s growth is proven by a year-over-year increase in overall system revenue of nearly 12 percent, bolstering its leadership position in the flourishing early education franchise industry.

In 2015, Primrose awarded a total of 44 franchise agreements. Today, Primrose has more than 300 locations across the country and has experienced an average increase of 13.3 percent in system revenue over the past five years. Additionally, average enrollment rates at Primrose schools open for at least three years reached a system peak of 87.3 percent full-time occupancy in May 2015.

“Over the past five years, Primrose Schools has consistently outperformed the industry because of our proven early education and care and business model and the rising number of entrepreneurs and families who recognize the value of high-quality early learning experiences,” said Jo Kirchner, president and CEO of Primrose Schools. “All of us at Primrose are passionate about nurturing the next generation for success in learning and life. We place a strong focus on empowering our Franchise Owners, their staff and families to make a lasting difference in their communities.”

Estela and Sotirios Papadopulos, Primrose Franchise Owners in the greater Houston area, have directly experienced and contributed to the franchise company’s growth. Their fifth Primrose school, Primrose School of Upper Kirby, is set to open its doors early this year. Estela and Sotirios are the proud parents of two Primrose graduates and were so impressed with the quality of care provided to their children, they decided to open their first Primrose school in 2002.

“We always knew that we wanted to own a business that would help children, but we weren’t quite sure what it would look like,” Sotirios said, “When we contacted Primrose Schools about an opportunity, we decided right away that opening a school would be the perfect way for us to make a difference in children’s lives and our community.”

Primrose is ranked #1 in franchisee satisfaction by the latest Children’s Services Franchise Sector Report from Franchise Grade. The company attracts entrepreneurs who are passionate about children and education, as well as those who are familiar with the high-quality Primrose Experience. More than 70 percent of current Franchise Owners have been parents, staff members, or were affiliated with Primrose in some way prior to becoming an owner.

The strategic growth plan for Primrose Schools projects the franchise company will have 480 school locations by 2020. This year, Primrose has identified the following markets for immediate expansion because of strong demand for high-quality early education, entrepreneurial interest and available land:

         Chicago
         Philadelphia
         Boston
         Baltimore
