This month, Supercuts is introducing a new mobile app that revolutionizes the salon industry by allowing guests to quickly and easily personalize their haircare experience. Available on iOS and Android, this personalized app is the first of its class in the affordably priced haircare category.
App users can create their own Supercuts profile, choose salons by proximity, sort locations by wait time, and check in for a same-day service with the stylist of their choice. They can also save their preferred salon location for even quicker future check-ins and add family members to their profile to conveniently check in up to six people for same-day haircare services - an ideal solution for life on the go. Plus, 15 minutes prior to the selected check-in time, app users will receive a pop-up reminder, helping to ensure they arrive at the salon at their desired time.
By catering to their guests’ mobile lifestyles, Supercuts has raised the bar again by offering multiple options that further improve guest experiences.
“Our guests are mobile, and the Supercuts app was redesigned knowing that our guests want more convenient and personalized functionality,” said Laurie Blum, associate vice president of digital marketing at Regis Corporation, Supercuts’ parent company. “From the advanced mapping functions to the levels of customization offered, we’ve combined the ease and convenience Supercuts is known for into a faster, more personal in-app experience.”
Find Your Salon. With Supercuts’ free new app, guests have two ways to find a nearby Supercuts: by proximity and by shortest wait time.
First, a pair of Supercuts shears pinpoints each salon and shows the current wait times on the app’s Google-based GPS-enabled map. Second, guests can tap the list icon in the app’s upper right corner to sort results by proximity or shortest wait time—a salon industry first!
Looking for a Supercuts in a different city? The Search Supercuts function at the top of the screen helps users find a salon anywhere in the country, and provides phone numbers, directions and salon hours. This innovative, advanced, auto-complete search function is a lifesaver for users with busy schedules and tired fingers.
Need salon details? Tap the Supercuts location and the salon’s details pop up at the bottom of the screen, including estimated current wait time, address, closing time, and check-in option. If a user favorites the location, they can easily check in for same-day service at that same salon for their next cut.
Check In. The first time guests tap Check Me In on a Supercuts location, they provide their name and phone number, select their desired service or services (Supercut™, Supercolor® or Waxing), and choose a preferred stylist and a convenient same-day check-in time. Knowing that the guest is on-the-go and likely checking in for a time that fits their schedule (instead of at that moment), the app automatically reminds the guest 15 minutes before their check-in time so they remember to head to their Supercuts.
Additionally, guests can view their active check-in, call the salon, or open directions in their device’s native map app by accessing the Supercuts app menu and selecting My Check Ins.
Return Visits - the App Remembers. To allow for a quicker check-in process for future visits, guests can create a profile, stored in the app, with their information and preferred services—information that’s protected under the Google Privacy Policy (a service accompanying the Google-based GPS mapping service). Guests can edit, upload a profile photo, and add up to five other people to their profile by opening the app menu and selecting View Profile.
The Supercuts apps also remembers guest profiles so future check-ins require just two taps:
- Tap Check Me In on any Supercuts location.
- Verify contact info, desired service, stylist, and time, and tap Check Me In to confirm.
And if users need to add another guest to their check-in, just tap Add Another Guest on the confirmation screen and they’re ready to go.
Streamlined Salon Experience. The Supercuts app does more than help guests find salons and check in; upon confirming their check-in, the guest’s information is queued up at the salon. Knowing in advance the service or services the guest has requested lets salon staff and stylists prepare for the guest’s visit, helping guests get in and out quickly. Additionally, because the guest’s information is already in the point-of-sale ticket, stylists can spend more time focusing on the guest in their chair and less time entering guest information.
On the Cutting Edge. Designed specifically to enhance the guest experience and with some of the latest features in app personalization, Supercuts has raised the bar for the salon industry.
