Our Beginnings

While visiting their homes states in North and South Dakota, Lonnie Helgerson and his wife Linette helped their children make plaster stepping stones for Grandma's garden. From that, the concept of IslandTime Treasures was borne. Building upon that idea, Lonnie and Linette set out to create a home-based business that captured the lifestyle of the Gulf Coast islands where they live in Florida, and at the same time, have a business that they and their four kids could enjoy. In 2011, the family opened the first IslandTime Treasures location that services Manatee County and the surrounding area in Florida.

The response to their new business was overwhelming and in late 2012, the IslandTime Treasures franchise program started growing the brand nationally. Initially conceived as a home-based mobile operation for birthdays, fairs, festivals, school/daycare fundraising, and other public venues - IslandTime Treasures is now also expanding into amusement parks, family entertainment centers, resorts, malls, water parks, zoos, aquariums, and many other public venues with carts and/or kiosk locations, or mobile location partnerships.
