Anyone curious about starting a senior care franchise should understand more about the industry as well as the market potential. Senior home care services can cover a wide range of needs, from homemaking and companionship to medication reminders. At Homewatch CareGivers, these services also include personal care, or “hands on” care that might involve helping with bathing, dressing, and grooming.

More people are choosing to remain in their homes as they age. Various studies on aging, including a 2009 AARP study, have found that the vast majority of seniors want to live in their own homes as long as possible. The senior population has become the fastest growing segment in the United States; thus, the need for home care businesses will continue to increase.

Homewatch CareGivers was founded in 1980 as a local home care company in Denver, CO. Nearly 4 decades later we are a 200+ unit international franchise, with locations providing companion and personal care services to individuals who are aging, disabled or rehabilitating, allowing clients to remain living independently at home.

Homewatch CareGivers offers a proven business model for franchise owners to provide premier care to seniors in their homes. With our proprietary launch system, our business intelligence and finance tools, back-office management platform and caregiver recruitment and retention tools, franchisees are equipped to launch and grow their businesses successfully, while contributing positively to their communities.

Here are a few things that sets Homewatch CareGivers apart:

  • Experienced franchise leadership team – CEO is former franchisee
  • Homewatch CareGivers University with accredited courses for caregivers and staff
  • Unique, person-centered care approach
  • Regulatory and Industry expertise
  • A focus on caregiver recruitment and retention
  • Investments in technology and tools to improve quality of care and outcomes

An important goal of ours is to support our franchisees so that they are growing and profitable. One way we continue to stand out is through our lifetime training guarantee. We do not charge franchisees or their staff to come to training, and we welcome franchise owners to send their staff anytime.

In addition, we understand that launching the business and coaching using our best practices is important from the beginning to set a standard of excellence going forward. Our proprietary launch system includes an online Business Implementation Plan (BIP), which takes owners through the first 52 weeks of business, as well as a separate but integrated Market Action Plan (MAP). Combined with in-field launch, one on one coaching from subject matter experts, and leadership at the forefront of industry regulations and changes, our franchise owners are set up to succeed from the beginning.

Our online discovery process is intended to give franchise candidates the information they need to make an informed decision about the franchise. We do not SELL franchises, we award them to candidates who are a fit within our organization and who have the passion to provide care to seniors in their communities. Ideal candidates do not need healthcare experience.  In fact, sales and marketing, operational experience, and/or leadership and people management skills are much more valuable in this business.
