Brightway Insurance Agency Franchises

Sell More. Retain More. Earn More.

With Brightway Insurance, You Can

About Us

Brightway Insurance offers you the opportunity to own and operate your own independent insurance agency, while using the company’s turnkey support system every step of the way to earn as much as possible.

And, best of all, it’s a franchise that sells a product everyone needs and features the power of residual income as those new policies renew each year.

In a traditional independent insurance agency, the agent is responsible for:
  • Sales of new policies
  • Service of existing policies
  • Negotiating contracts with the carriers he or she wishes to represent
  • Coordinating technology that makes it easy to sell new business, service existing business, and enable agency growth, and
  • Building the agency’s brand
In a Brightway agency, the Associate Agency Owner (AAO) is responsible for:
  • Sales of new policies
Brightway handles:
  • Customer Service. It’s estimated that agencies spend 80-90% of the entire agency’s time servicing renewal business; of that, individual producers spend between 40 and 60 percent on this activity. In Brightway’s model, the local agent is freed up to focus on selling, while customers receive the highest-quality customer service from a centrally located Service Center staffed by insurance experts
  • Access to multiple insurance carriers. The average Independent Agent represents just over six carriers; Brightway agents have access to more than 120 carriers and sell policies from 21 of them regularly. By providing broad choice in carriers, consumers can rest assured knowing that Brightway agents are effectively shopping the insurance market for them, customizing policies that have the coverage they need at a price they want
  • Technology. Brightway provides industry leading technology for its agencies that makes transacting business fast and easy, and that allows for rapid growth
  • Brand. Defining what Brightway stands for and communicating it consistently and as broadly as possible, building consumer awareness and demand
That’s why Brightway AAOs sell more than their independent agency counterparts.*
*As referenced in Brightway’s Franchise Disclosure Document Item 19. Claim is made based on comparing similarly tenured producers who predominantly write Personal Lines new business and are predominately located in Florida, to new Personal Lines production of the top 250 insurance producers across the U.S., as reported by the Independent Agents and Brokers Association (IIABA) 2013 Best Practices Study. Brightway agents sell an average of $598,020/year in new business in their fourth year of business vs. Independent Agents who sell an average of $264,504/year.

What our Agency Owners say:

“Prior to joining Brightway, I [George] spent 26 years in retail management, ran a district, and I did quite a bit of traveling. We wanted to change directions and start new careers. The insurance industry was a very stable industry that we both looked forward to pursuing. We have four children, which makes our life a little bit hectic, and we really wanted something that we could do together as a family. Brightway has given us the opportunity. Although it’s still hectic, we can take our children to school, we have dinner as a family. It’s really afforded us that opportunity.”
- George Rankin & Jodi Strenta, Jacksonville, FL Brightway Agency Owners since 2011

“Simply put, Brightway Insurance is a game-changer. Prior to Brightway, I owned another retail franchise in which I was responsible for managing inventory, plus I had to create a need for my products in the market. Insurance is great because I do not need to convince someone to buy insurance, it’s required. Also, I am not just earning revenue on new insurance policies, but I’m building a significant recurring income with all of the policy renewals. Brightway equips me with the strongest carrier and product mix so I have more options than my competitors, plus their centralized service center frees me up to focus on growth. As I enter my 5th year, I just moved into a larger space and plan to grow my sales team to 15 producers. I’ve exceeded all of my financial expectations and look forward to re-investing into my business.”
- Mike Hatmaker, Largo, FL Brightway Agency Owner since 2009

“After owning an independent agency in Michigan, I relocated to Charlotte NC in hopes of better weather and a stronger business opportunity. Purchasing a Brightway franchise is one of the best decisions I ever made for my family. Brightway delivers the support that allows me to move to a new community and start an insurance agency from scratch. The set up experience is turn-key. Brightway’s onboarding specialists helped me with everything, from training to office build out, as my family settled into our new home. Once open, I spent my time networking and relationship building with professional referral sources in the greater Charlotte business community, a luxury I was unable to do in my previous agency due to the massive amount of service work.”
- Dimitri Apostle, Charlotte, NC Brightway Agency Owner since 2013
